The house is located facing a dense forest along a narrow one-way road. We designed a distinctive porous screen roof that defines the structure and raised the living area to create a visual connection with the elevated forest, giving the illusion of an endless canopy of trees.
The front facade of the house features a striking screen made from black flamed granite panels slanting from the roof to nearly the second storey floor. The living and dining areas form a single open space, with a spacious kitchen and herb garden at the rear, while the third storey includes a yoga space, a study-cum-library, and a unique glass panel for visual connectivity between floors.
The house also incorporates various intricate details such as a coffered timber veneer ceiling, floating oil holders reflecting Indian heritage, and a bespoke curved vanity counter in the master bathroom.
