The Visionnaire
Benedict Choa
A serial entrepreneur at heart, Benedict created The Modular Builder with his wife Sonia Tay to spearhead the emerging trend of modular interior design in Singapore. With their hospitality experience in boutique capsule hotels, the business expansion plans naturally led them to the real estate design space where they saw the opportunity to partner with German modular interior builder Kuhlmann International to bring curated offerings of its modular line-up to the Singapore market.
Benedict's vision is to work closely with architects and interior designers to craft meaningful and luxurious spaces, while introducing them to Kuhlmann products that are of high quality and boast an attractive price point. With the inception of KAPA which is an extension of this vision, the design collective platform curates a turnkey design-and-build white glove experience for clients by bringing together best in class architects and designers to collaborate for Singapore and overseas projects.

His Design Story
Jing Zhi Kee
Kee is an award-winning Architect in Singapore. His journey in Architecture started in 2003 when he first joined K2LD Architects. Kee subsequently left for London and join Stirling prized firm Wilkinson Eyre Architects as the key design member for the iconic project - Gardens by the Bay, Singapore.
Freight Architects was born in 2016 when Kee decided to step out with his partners to create their design stories with a positive impact. His design philosophy stems from an inquisitive and unconventional mind, always with a quest to create the most compelling story for the project. Focusing on the spatial experience and intentionally breaking away from the norms of its typology, Kee's creative process is constantly geared towards purpose and meaning, leading him to discover new interpretations and redefine conventional sensibilities in his design language.
He is well known for his soulful and poetic creations in the luxury residential segment for good class bungalows and landed dwellings, and redefining childcare and senior care spaces with his innovative approach to designing spatial experiences.
